and i'm heading to bed because i work at 6am tomorrow. i got my first paycheck since going back to safway today! got gas, groceries, paid some bills, and ran some errands. not a bad day. my new shoes and 2.0 usb hub came in the mail as well!

it's been a few days since my last rambling so here is what's new with me.

i got back on at safeway thanks to some good people who still wanted me around. they took me back at my old journeyman wage and for the first time in about a year i'll be making some good coin! thank fucking god or whatever you choose to believe in.

we went to vancouver BC last weekend, got a bunch of areo bars, and drank a lot. i sold a bunch of LP's and 7'' on ebay last week and took home about $300. i also got about $220 for the two days i worked at my last "job". it's gonna be enough to get me though to my first safeway paycheck. it's funny how things work out sometimes.

my copy of god of war II came in the mail today! i played it for a few minutes and it kicks all the ass! my copy of borat should be here soon along with my belkin 7-port 2.0 usb adapter! god i love ebay and half.com!

before i say anything else, let me say that The Hold Steady are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. the Almost killed Me record is as pretty close to awesome as one can hope to get. if you're into that sort of thing that is.

so, i lasted at my new job for a whole two days before i hung it up and headed back to safeway where i will be hired back at my old journeyman wage which will bring some MUCH needed income into this broke-ass house we currently live in.

i have to interview again but it's just a formality and i hope to be starting as soon as monday. cross your fingers though as this household has been hurting in the luck department for far too long.

in other exciting news, i have a shit load of new music to get to, but what else is new? this is the hell of the music fanatic. i also cleaned the shit out of my kitchen closet today keeping with the spirit of our recent spring cleaning. we've thrown out god-knows-how-much shit in the last week and the house looks WAY better as a result. even got the stinky-ass litter pan taken care of today. go me!

there is other shit i could ramble on about but i don't think i will.

news from round here...

my time at tj's is now over. they sent me off with an awesome chocolate cake, a nice bottle of wine, a card, and a bit of a farewell party after i got off. pretty cool, i'd say.

the not cool thing is that i have yet to hear from my new job about when/if i'll be starting anytime soon. i've called and e-mailed my new boss but haven't heard a so much as a peep. so i guess that makes me unemployed for the time being.

last night, the woman and i took a bunch of shit dvd's to half-price books and walked out with a cool $50 in out pocket! we took our new found wealth straight to the grocery store. now we have food for at least a week or two.

today i took a bunch of records to sell at the same place. i was a little disappointed to only get $67 for such good albums, but i'm coping by taking into consideration all of the music that i have pilfered over the last five or so years. what are you gonna do.

speaking of new music, here are a few new titles since the last post:

brmc - baby81, brandi carlile - the story, wilco - sky blue sky, and kings of leon - because of the times.

not too bad, i'd say. most of those don't come out for over a month yet!

and that's about it. i'm gonna call my boss again and see if i actually have a new job.

a few us went to see albert hammond jr at the croc. it was really fun and i'm glad we got to go.

weekend

it's my weekend and i'm pleased to announce that i have nothing to do except whatever i want. that won't be all that much since i don't really have money, but i do have my toys to keep me entertained.

i came across my old livejournal last night. it had not been updated for like three years. pretty fun to read. heidi and i had just started dating and screwing all the time. i had most of the same problems with money, even though i had more of it, i hated my job, and i saw my friends a bit more than i do now.

now we're all paired up and doing our own things and shit. such is life.

i'm still job searching but not coming up with much. my buddy is supposed to talk with his work about getting me an interview. so far that looks like my best lead. another friend offered me a job with him, but it was more of the same so i passed. after all, it's something new that i want.

btw: that's helmsley. my cat. he is far cooler than you could ever dream of being.

now what?

i didn't get the job that i interviewed for yesterday so today i start from scratch. i don't have any leads at all and i may have to extend my time at where i am now. i don't want to, but they were cool enough to let me hang around until i can find something else.

i have to call a friend of mine today. he called the other day and left me a message saying that if i was still looking for a new job to call him today or tomorrow. don't have any idea of what it might be but what the hell.

so, i guess i DO have a lead after all. maybe i should think a little bit before i actually sit down to type. whatever...never said i was a good writer.

i got a copy of the jayhawks "rainy day music" from a co-worker today and it's really, really good. it'll be a welcome addition to the alt-country collection. also, i got a pinhead gunpowder record and it pretty much rules.

work asked me to stick around for another week but it's pending on how i do at my comcast interview and how soon they would want me to start.

umm...im doing laundry and drinking beer. soon after, i'll be going out for chinese food and it's gonna rule.

i tend to do shit like create blog or join random websites after i'm two or three beers into the night and tonight is no exception.

so, welcome to my newest blog and my first since i gave up myspace a few months ago.

alright, not a whole lot to write about tonight so i'll just ramble for a bit and call it a night.

i downloaded a shit-ton of music tonight. nothing essential, but what the hell. i've been on-and-off the computer since about 9am today job searching, paying bills, shopping, and of course; downloading new tunes.

for those interested, i got stuff from the donnas (thanks to guitar hero), and the hold steady (rad). seriously check out the hold steady if you have not already. great stuff.

i have a job interview on wednesday with the cable company. i have to take a test or something, not real sure. the starting pay is much better than what i get currently and i've been at this job now for about 8 months or so now.

i'm kinda torn about leaving my current job but that's only because i'm not on the clock right now. when i'm there, i'm in hell. i hate customers more than pretty much anything on this or any other planet. but when i get home i forget about how much i want to beat those fuckers with a bag full of bricks and forget about the whole day. only to repeat the same shit the next day.

point is: i need to get out and i'm doing my best to do just that. two weeks left and no job lined up.
