Ok, so the new Kanye is getting the best reviews I've seen an album get since I don't know when. People are running out of adjectives to describe its greatness. 10 of 10 here, A+ there, and 100% everywhere else. So I had to check this masterpiece out for myself.

I can sum it up with one syllable: meh.

Seriously...is this what passes for great hip hop these days? Really?

Do people remember A Tribe Called Quest? THAT was great hip hop. Beats, rhymes, and a bass line. That's it. No bullshit posturing. No stupid ass intros or outros. No skits. Just hip hop done the right way.

Whatever. I'm no good with words. Point is, if this modern hip hop qualifies as "the shit", then shit is rolling downhill.
