been a while i guess. not even sure how long, but a while i know.

just haven't had all that much that i felt needed to be shared with the zero people that have stumbled across this meager little blog spot of mine.

been super obsessed with the election the past few months and now that we're down the 30 days and change, it' looks like obama is pulling away!

so why am i so worried? well, i figure it has something to do with those shady right-wingers and their win-at-all-cost method of politics. until the very last vote is counted and barak is sworn in, i don't think i'll get a good nights sleep.

still looking for that elusive new job. i have a bit of a lead driving trucks for costco but i'm still waiting to hear from a few people and therefore not letting myself get stoked over the whole thing.

i'm on the second of my two days off today and this next week at work looks about as good as a shitty diaper stuck to a wall. par for the course you might say.

the holidays are fast approaching and heidi already has one of her gifts. a sweet little betsy johnson watch. she digs it and this pleases me. granted she picked it out months ago, but still i'm the one who got it. so there.

she gave me my birthday present the other day! the sweet north face jacket that i've wanted for like two years! it kicks ass and i bought the matching gloves so i can look like everyone else in the seattle area. yeah for conforming to a stereotype!

whatever. i like it.

i want to make sure that i included a pic with every post to make things more enjoyable. i was planning on taking a pic of chums asleep in his bed but the battieries were toast. so instead i'll post one of heidi and me on our disney land trip.

and i'm heading to bed because i work at 6am tomorrow. i got my first paycheck since going back to safway today! got gas, groceries, paid some bills, and ran some errands. not a bad day. my new shoes and 2.0 usb hub came in the mail as well!

it's been a few days since my last rambling so here is what's new with me.

i got back on at safeway thanks to some good people who still wanted me around. they took me back at my old journeyman wage and for the first time in about a year i'll be making some good coin! thank fucking god or whatever you choose to believe in.

we went to vancouver BC last weekend, got a bunch of areo bars, and drank a lot. i sold a bunch of LP's and 7'' on ebay last week and took home about $300. i also got about $220 for the two days i worked at my last "job". it's gonna be enough to get me though to my first safeway paycheck. it's funny how things work out sometimes.

my copy of god of war II came in the mail today! i played it for a few minutes and it kicks all the ass! my copy of borat should be here soon along with my belkin 7-port 2.0 usb adapter! god i love ebay and half.com!

before i say anything else, let me say that The Hold Steady are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. the Almost killed Me record is as pretty close to awesome as one can hope to get. if you're into that sort of thing that is.

so, i lasted at my new job for a whole two days before i hung it up and headed back to safeway where i will be hired back at my old journeyman wage which will bring some MUCH needed income into this broke-ass house we currently live in.

i have to interview again but it's just a formality and i hope to be starting as soon as monday. cross your fingers though as this household has been hurting in the luck department for far too long.

in other exciting news, i have a shit load of new music to get to, but what else is new? this is the hell of the music fanatic. i also cleaned the shit out of my kitchen closet today keeping with the spirit of our recent spring cleaning. we've thrown out god-knows-how-much shit in the last week and the house looks WAY better as a result. even got the stinky-ass litter pan taken care of today. go me!

there is other shit i could ramble on about but i don't think i will.

news from round here...

my time at tj's is now over. they sent me off with an awesome chocolate cake, a nice bottle of wine, a card, and a bit of a farewell party after i got off. pretty cool, i'd say.

the not cool thing is that i have yet to hear from my new job about when/if i'll be starting anytime soon. i've called and e-mailed my new boss but haven't heard a so much as a peep. so i guess that makes me unemployed for the time being.

last night, the woman and i took a bunch of shit dvd's to half-price books and walked out with a cool $50 in out pocket! we took our new found wealth straight to the grocery store. now we have food for at least a week or two.

today i took a bunch of records to sell at the same place. i was a little disappointed to only get $67 for such good albums, but i'm coping by taking into consideration all of the music that i have pilfered over the last five or so years. what are you gonna do.

speaking of new music, here are a few new titles since the last post:

brmc - baby81, brandi carlile - the story, wilco - sky blue sky, and kings of leon - because of the times.

not too bad, i'd say. most of those don't come out for over a month yet!

and that's about it. i'm gonna call my boss again and see if i actually have a new job.
